HKI is strengthening the impact of feeding programs in priority districts in Kenya and ensuring that children with severe malnutrition can be appropriately treated to recovery. HKI has also partnered with UNICEF to ensure that children who need to be treated for severe malnutrition receive a standard of care that is globally acceptable. We are also training health workers to deliver key nutrition and health messages to communities receiving food aid, including the importance of breastfeeding and how to care for sick children.
