PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The goal of the project is to reduce vulnerability among orphans, vulnerable children, and their families by strengthening systems and structures to deliver quality essential services and increase resiliency. Pact recognizes the direct link between the health of children and access to food and nutrition. Its program thus works with families to assess nutrition and provide nutritional counseling. In addition, volunteers provide guidance for vegetable household gardens and education on food preparation, preservation and storage. Pact links more substantial food security interveitions with feeding programs, therapeutic feeding and supplemental feeding services.
