In an effort to address the needs of the underserved, Pact, in collaboration with an experienced team of implementing partners, implements the TEACH II programme as an extension and expansion of the Transforming Education for Adults and Children in the Hinterlands (TEACH) program. The program focuses on three core objectives of Alternative Basic Education (ABE), Adult Functional Literacy (AFL), and capacity strengthening of Woreda Education Offices. The TEACH project reaches into remote, peripheral, food-insecure, and pastoral areas with a particular emphasis on educational and skills development for women and girls, that improves the opportunities of disadvantaged, marginalized, and pastoral communities in Ethiopia. TEACH II promotes food security by providing adults and children with the necessary skills to support sustainable livelihoods to meet nutritional needs.
