PROJECT DESCRIPTION

To improve the capacity of 2,000 HEWs to deliver appropriate, quality, and inclusive health services, to strengthen the capacity of the training institutions, Regional Health Bureaus, master trainers and tutors to deliver sufficient quantity and quality of health workers on an ongoing basis, and to identify and document the impact of HEW training and specifically the innovative Level IV upgrading programme (e.g. looking at impact on retention) in resource-constrained settings.

Scale-up of Level IV HEWs using classroom-based teaching.
